Jesse Jackson Jr. said Monday that he will not make a run to replace Richard Daley in the mayor's office.
The Chicago Democrat released a statement to the Chicago Tribune saying that he has "many friends and colleagues" that may run for the office.
He said he would not make an endorsement for the office.
Jackson's reputation was recently tarnished after reports surfaced that he had an affair with a Washington, D.C. restaurant hostess.
