Wives of Cubs, Brewers Set to Square Off on Diamond

The game will take place June 12 in Milwaukee

The Cubs’ Wives will be taking the field in a charity competition against the Milwaukee Brewers’ wives.

Before the Chicago Cubs take on the Milwaukee Brewers at Miller Park next week, the teams’ wives will do battle in an epic showdown for charity.

The game, called the “Wives Softball Challenge,” will feature the Cubs’ Wives going up against the Brewers’ spouses in a softball showdown at a park near the stadium.

“This is something we’ve all wanted to do for a very long time,” Krystal Almora, wife of Cubs outfielder Albert Almora, said. “The fact that we have this opportunity and that it’s for charity, I think it all fits perfectly.”

The game will take place at noon on June 12 at Helfaer Field in Milwaukee, which is just outside the gates of Miller Park.

The Cubs’ Wives held their final practice on Wednesday ahead of the big event:

The Chicago Cubs’ wives were on the field Wednesday preparing for their showdown with the wives of the Milwaukee Brewers.

Tickets are $32, and proceeds will go to the RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) program in both Chicago and Milwaukee.
