Pete Sack is tracking a stormy afternoon in the Chicago area.

The Chicago White Sox are going for a series win over the Minnesota Twins Wednesday, but rain delayed first pitch by more than three hours.

The game had been scheduled to start at 1:10 p.m., but showers and thunderstorms in the Chicago area led to the decision to delay the game for a significant stretch of time.

The contest finally got underway just after 4:30 p.m., and the White Sox fell behind early to the Twins.

Sean Burke, who started on Opening Day for the South Siders, got the start and was touched up for six earned runs in 4.1 innings of work.

The White Sox will have Thursday off before starting a three-game series against the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park.
