Blackhawks Defenseman Prospect Wyatt Kaiser Making Impact in NCAA Hockey

It’s been two months since the NHL draft, and there’s over a month left until the NHL hopefully, maybe returns, so that can only mean one thing. We’re smack dab in the middle of Get Hype season!

Luckily for Blackhawks fans, 2020 third-round pick Wyatt Kaiser has been providing highlights at the University of Minnesota Duluth.

Kaiser is only a freshman at UMD, but he’s already made an impact early in the college season. He’s playing on the Bulldogs’ top defenseman pairing, and he’s working on the power play as well. Over four games, Kaiser has notched three assists, four shots and seven blocked shots.

Kaiser has played so well this season, that his coach has reportedly put him in for even more high-leverage situations.

While it’ll take awhile for Kaiser to overtake other Blackhawks blue line prospects like Ian Mitchell and Nicolas Beaudin in the hype department, these highlights are still great to see.
