Welcome to New York: Rizzo hits HR in 1st game with Yankees originally appeared on NBC Sports Chicago
It took all of one game for Anthony Rizzo to make an impact with the Yankees.
Rizzo made his Yankees debut Friday, following Thursday's trade from the Cubs, and blasted a solo home run in his third plate appearance.
Fittingly, Rizzo's Yankee debut came in his home state of Florida, against the Miami Marlins.
Rizzo's started his Yankees career off in a big way, after ending his 10-season Cubs tenure in the same fashion. He hit three home runs over his final four games with the North Siders.
That said, it will take a long time to get used to seeing Rizzo in Yankee blue.
