Cubs Fan Billy Murray's Epic 7th Inning Stretch With a Full Wrigley

Watch Bill Murray's epic 7th inning stretch originally appeared on NBC Sports Chicago

The Chicago Cubs just had an epic comeback against the St. Louis Cardinals in front of a full Wrigley Field for the first time since 2019.

And it may have been ignited by Bill Murray, a native Chicagoan and lifelong Cubs fans.

With the Cubs and Cardinals tied at five runs a piece, Murray took the mic.

"This is what it feels like to be 100 percent," Murray started. "And we're gonna be louder from right now until the last out of the top of the 9th inning, understood?

"Let's scare the hell out of these Cardinals."

And in the bottom of the seventh inning, Joc Pederson doubled to deep right center and drove in two go-ahead runs to secure a lead the Cubs would never surrender.

Willson Contreras added a run with a solo home run in the eighth inning just for good measure.

So did Murray ignite the Cubs rally to win the game?

We can't say for sure he did. We also can't say for sure that he didn't.

We'll let you decide.
