There's been a flurry of reactions to Major League Baseball's expected addition of a universal DH in 2022, but perhaps none more entertaining than that of ex-Cubs starter Trevor Williams.

Williams, whom the Cubs traded to the Mets with Javy Báez last July, tweeted a 'highlight' reel Thursday of himself hitting, featuring clips of off-balance swings and groundballs.

The video begins with a caption over a black screen reading "sad day" and ends with, "RIP pitchers hitting 1882-2019, 2021."

To top it off, the video is paired with "Say Something" by A Great Big World.

The universal DH has long been expected to be implemented via the next collective bargaining agreement. Commissioner Rob Manfred reiterated the owners support of the addition on Thursday.

This isn't the first DH-related montage Williams has posted. He tweeted a similar video last February, after MLB announced the National League would play under traditional rules following a 2020 season with the universal DH.
