Former Bears quarterback Brian Griese is re-entering the NFL spotlight, as ESPN announced Monday Griese will join Steve Levy and Louis Riddick in the broadcast booth for Monday Night Football this season.
Griese and Levy have worked together since 2016 calling college football games on ESPN. In addition, sideline reporter Lisa Salters and officiating analyst John Parry will return to the MNF broadcast. Griese, Levy and Riddick replace Joe Tessitore and Booger McFarland.

The crew will call their first game together on Sept. 14 for the Titans - Broncos matchup, which will actually be the second Monday night game of Week 1. The Bears are scheduled to play on Monday night twice. First in Week 7 at the Los Angeles Rams, then again in Week 11 when they'll host the Minnesota Vikings.
Griese played 13 games for the Bears, including six starts, between the 2006 and 2007 seasons. He completed 60.9% of his passes for 2,023 yards, 11 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. Griese also made one Pro Bowl with the Denver Broncos in 2000.
