Happ gifts Cubs players, staff shirts labeling job titles originally appeared on NBC Sports Chicago
David Ross' nickname has evolved from "Grandpa Rossy" during his Cubs playing days to "Manager David" since becoming the team's skipper.
Now, he has a shirt to match his title.
Ian Happ gifted custom shirts to Ross, his Cubs teammates and staff members that label their job titles. Ross showed his off during his Zoom press conference Saturday.
"We've got trainer, we've got bench coach, everybody," Ross said. "Whatever their job title is, everybody's wearing a shirt today.
"It's pretty funny watching everybody walking around."
Ross has made impressive fashion statements on several occasions this week. Friday, he rocked a sash reading "It's my birthday," gifted to him by his daughter for his 44th big day.
