New Era releases 2022 White Sox spring training hat originally appeared on NBC Sports Chicago
Despite Major League Baseball's current lockout, the 2022 Chicago White Sox Spring Training cap was released by New Era on Monday.
The hat features the vintage Sox logo that was first debuted in 1912 and has stars added to it. It is a trucker-style hat with a mesh backing for breathability, according to MLBshop.com's description.
The original logo was recently used in the 2021 Field of Dreams game where Tim Anderson hit a walk-off shot to win the game 9-8 against the New York Yankees.
Sox fans on Twitter seem pretty pleased about this year's new design.
The Sox' previous spring training hat featured the famous Sox batterman logo with the regular Sox logo in the middle of it and was quite distracting.
