FOID Denials and Revocations Based on ‘Clear and Present Danger' Reports Have Increased Since 2015: Data
The number of Firearm Owner’s Identification cards that have been denied or revoked in Illinois because of “clear and present danger” reports – like the one submitted about the Highland Park parade shooting suspect in 2019 – has steadily increased each year for the past seven years alongside the rising number of FOID applications, data shows.
