Week Dedicated to Black Women's Maternal Health

Black mothers are three times as likely to die from a pregnancy-related event as white women, regardless of their education and income, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In Cook County, an effort is underway to lower the numbers. NBC 5’s Regina Waldroup reports.
