Here's a breakdown of the records and when they were last set:
1. Record Snow: Monday officially became the snowiest Nov. 11 on record in Chicago as of 12:30 p.m. when 3.4 inches fell at O'Hare International Airport. That snowfall total shattered the old record of 1.9 inches of snow, set during a 1995 storm.
2. Record Low Monday: Just before midnight on Monday, the temperature dropped to 13 degrees at O'Hare Airport, beating the previous low temperature of 15 degrees recorded in that same location back in 1950.
3. Record Low Tuesday: Early Tuesday morning, temperatures dipped to just 7 degrees, marking a new single-day record low for the city. The record low temperature for Chicago on Nov. 12 was previously 8 degrees above zero, set in 1986.
4. Record Low High Temperature: According to the National Weather Service, the high temperature at O'Hare was 17 degrees, smashing the record for coldest maximum temperature on Nov. 12. The old record was 28 degrees, and was set in 1995.
